I initially used a jarred jerk rub for my BBQ jerk chicken and wasn’t a fan of the outcome of the sauces flavor. I decided to look for a good jerk seasoning recipe. I found a few that sounded tasty and chose ingredients from each of those recipes that would complement my sauce the best.
Combining a variety of herbs and spices, I created a sauce that’s a little sweet with a gentle kick. The spice comes from my addition of cayenne pepper and crushed peppers.
To make the BBQ Jerk Chicken, the chicken wings are fried crisp. Once fully cooked and crisp, the wings are instantly dropped into my house-made BBQ Jerk Sauce. The flavors are amazing, and I am highly pleased with the outcome! You have to try it.
