This is probably one of my favorite restaurants in New York City. With its relaxed atmosphere and delicious menu, it’s just one of those places that makes you happy. The highlight of this restaurant, for me, is probably the popcorn. I LOVE POPCORN!!! Bronx Alehouse serves up delicious, freshly popped, buttered popcorn Similar to Harlem Public in the Hamilton Heights section of Manhattan.
If you are a lover of buffalo wings, this place cooks up some of the best wings in New York City. I’ve been able to try a variety of dishes off their menu and I was pleased with just about everything I had. Another one of my favorites at Bronx Ale House is their Chicken and Waffle Grilled Cheese Sandwich. First you’ll think to yourself “who the hell comes up with this?” Then you will say to yourself “Oh My f*cking goodness, bless the person that came up with this!” It’s probably not the healthiest option, but it is one of the best options by far. It’s crispy, Southern Fried chicken sandwiched between two Belgian waffles with cheddar cheese cooked into the waffles as the waffles are soaked in honey butter. To explain it is unreal, and to taste it is unreal.
Bronx Alehouse has an expansive beer menu which is perfect for the guys who want to sit back, enjoy a hearty meal along with a craft beer while watching the NBA Finals on one of their many big screen TVs. This restaurant is definitely a much needed gem in the Bronx, New York.
