I read somewhere that she had overcome cancer. And in that moment I felt sympathy for her because I realized she had suffered a lot in her life. But I didn’t understand how a woman who endured so much pain could ever want to inflict pain on someone else. And in that moment I pitied her because through all of her adversities, she never learned compassion. All of her suffering had been in vain.
