With various locations across the United States, this restaurant in Port Chester, New York serves up some lucha libre, body slamming tacos. The parking lot was filled with luxury vehicles, but there was nothing overly pretentious about this place! It is definitely worth taking the drive for good food and a nice ambiance. My experience at the restaurant matched the amazing reviews they received on Yelp. The food did not disappoint. Their staff was warm and welcoming. They kept smiles on their faces treating each patron equally good.
We sat on the outside area overlooking the water. It was well shaded with large umbrellas allowing each customer comfort from the beaming summer sun. I tried the Baja fish taco, a spicy tempura-battered cod with chipotle slaw. I also ordered the crispy rock shrimp taco, masa-crusted crispy rock shrimp with a remoulade sauce, and lemon parsley slaw. Both of these tacos are the best bites you’ll have in your life. The Baja fish taco has an abundance of flavor. I was surprised with how good it was.
I ordered their grilled corn on the cob with lime, cotija cheese, and cayenne pepper. You get a subtle kick from the cayenne pepper. I really liked the flavors. The roasted chicken was my least favorite dish. It was a bland, but healthy option for those who want to make good food choices. To drink, I enjoyed a mango margarita on the rocks. It was quite refreshing.
You might meet a rich guy who’s been looking for someone special to share his inheritance or just some good tacos with. The restaurant is about 11 minutes away from Rye, New York. Take a stroll on the beach or get on a roller coaster at Rye Playland theme park. There is so much to do during the summertime in New York City. Visiting Westchester County only adds to your options.
