Did you know that Orchard Beach in the Bronx was once known as the Riviera of New York City? While Orchard Beach isn’t much of a beach in my opinion, it is the largest Bronx beach, at 1.1 miles, and the only one run by the Parks and Recreation Department. I recently learned that there are other Bronx beaches, but they are privately owned and require a membership for access.
One weekend we went to a day party at a lounge near Fordham University. We had such a good time celebrating Mecca’s birthday! The following week, I was on Orchard Beach taking pictures of my cover-ups for shopmissmj.com. I, unfortunately, forgot to take my camera’s memory card out of my desktop. The camera has limited internal memory so I was left taking cell phone pics and the pictures just weren’t up to standard.
We, ultimately, had a nice time on the beach. The beach was empty because it wasn’t summer break yet. We were able to get a few decent pictures on this lovely day in New York City.
