We stopped in New Haven, Connecticut to try out pinchos and pastelillos from the Sandwiches El Cubano Food Truck. There wasn’t a long line, but there was somewhat of a wait. We ordered shrimp, pork, and chicken pinchos which are basically grilled kebabs. I also enjoyed their beef pastelillo and washed it down with an ice cold Malta India.
We found picnic benches at a cute, beachfront park nearby. We enjoyed our light bites while listening to the sounds of nature – Birds chirping, the leaves from the trees dancing in the wind, and the soft waves hitting the rocky shoreline. It felt so good to be out in the sun enjoying delicious eats inspired by cultures from around the globe. This is what life’s about. Happy Eating xoxo
