LIGHTHOUSE POINT PARK, NEW HAVEN, CONNECTICUT

There is a small, rocky beach area with sand.

According to their website, Lighthouse Point Park is an “82-acre park on Long Island Sound with swimming, splash-pad area, nature trails, bird sanctuary, and antique carousel.”

You will find ample green space with picnic benches perfect for a beautiful lunch date with your best friend. We visited Lighthouse Point Park in New Haven to enjoy a quick bite from a local food truck called El Sandwiches Cubano.

I love this park! It has a loading dock for those who want to go boating or jetskiing. There is a small, rocky beach area with sand. The water is clear, calm, and cold. The park wasn’t crowded, but we did visit during off season.

I travel to the Caribbean a lot for its blue waters. Caribbean Island waters are unmatched to anything we have on the North East Coast. I, however, find peace and solitude near Connecticut waters. I love the beaches in Connecticut. The waters are pristine, unlike New York City beaches where the waters are often brown, murky and unswimmable.

Parking in Connecticut is quite pricey for those from out-of-state. Because of that, I usually visit during the off season to save on parking and beat the crowds. You will pretty much have an entire park for you and your company to enjoy. Safe Travels! Happy Healing xoxo
