A day trip to Biloxi, Mississippi was just what we needed to detox after the craziest night in New Orleans. As a woman from the East Coast visiting the Gulf Coast, I must admit I didn’t have high expectations. It was nice going from our usual visits to Atlantic City to the warmth in the Gulf Coast that comes along with southern hospitality.
We checked into our room and it is gorgeous! The room exceeded my expectations. I was pleasantly surprised by the room’s decor; modern updates with beautiful waterfront views. The room was a high step-up from the comp rooms we stayed in at Harrahs Resort in Atlantic City.
We were exhausted after a crazy night out on Bourbon Street in New Orleans. The night included a list of cocktails from hand grenades to hurricanes. Because we were so tired from the night before, we paid for early check-in. When we got to our room, we caught up on some rest.
We tried our luck at the casino later that evening. I didn’t hit the jackpot, but I had fun trying. After cashing out, we headed for a late night dip in the resort’s beautiful outdoor heated pool and jacuzzi. We enjoyed a few poolside cocktails. It was the perfect night.
It started to get a little chilly so we called it a night. We went back to our room, showered, and got a good night’s rest on their super comfy king-sized bed. We woke up in the morning feeling refreshed and made a quick stop for Breakfast at the Waffle House before boarding the Grey Hound bus back to New Orleans.
I really loved our stay at Harrahs Gulf Coast. Although I didn’t actually hit the jackpot, I walked away feeling rich with experience.
