THE TRUTH ABOUT THE SPIRITUAL COMMUNITY

Use your discernment when connecting with others because we all have a shadow side, and some of us are more led by that side than others.

I attended a Methodist church for Sunday school and continued through my teenage years with regular services. I love God, the word of God, gospel music, and everything about Christianity, but I don’t consider myself a Christian. Because I practice divination, I feel that devout Christians might not accept me since the Bible speaks against psychics, mediums, and tarot readers. I do not consider myself a witch. Although no Christian has ever confronted me about my beliefs, I’ve seen them in the comment sections of social media posts, calling tarot readers and mediums witches, devil worshippers, and demonic. I am none of those. I am a lightworker, using my supernatural gifts to help people transform their lives and find purpose. I do not practice dark magic. I perform rituals and spells for the betterment of my existence and to build a deeper relationship with my spirit guides, guardian angels, God, ancestors, and the earth around me.

I read the Bible as a reference to better my life because it contains a lot of wisdom, stories, and principles that can inspire personal growth and reflection. However, I don’t take everything in it literally or believe in every aspect. I see it more as a tool for learning and finding guidance that resonates with me, rather than a strict rulebook. For me, it’s about finding the parts that align with my values and using them to support my journey.

Feeling like an outcast, I decided to seek a community of people who share similar beliefs and practices. I quickly learned that the spiritual community is no different from the church. Nasty spirits exist everywhere. The spiritual community isn’t all love and light or positive vibrations. You will find judgment, ego, jealousy, and competitiveness. You may be spoken down to and challenged for having a personal opinion. The spiritual community can be just as flawed as the church. I thought to myself, if a regular friend can be jealous and send you the evil eye, imagine what a spiritual friend with “gifts” would do! They might try to cast a spell putting you in a jar or the freezer without a second thought.

Do not be deceived by the image presented by the spiritual community. It’s not all about yoga, meditation, and veganism. There are people in the spiritual community who lack a soul and will try to devour you like a piece of raw meat. My suggestion for those on their spiritual journey is to embrace the personal experience and build the strongest bond with your spiritual team. Use your discernment when connecting with others because we all have a shadow side, and some of us are more led by that side than others. Be mindful and walk your path with confidence and without fear. In the end, this is a personal journey.
