SAVAGE BEAUTY AT THE METROPOLITAN MUSEUM OF ART

I took a trip to the Metropolitan Museum of Art.  I wanted to see the acclaimed, fashion designer Alexander McQueen’s exhibit “Savage Beauty.”   The line for the Savage Beauty exhibit had an 1 1/2 hour wait. I never knew patience, she was never a friend of mine. I couldn’t wait, so I didn’t. I ended up sipping cocktails at the museum’s rooftop garden martini bar.  Before leaving, I viewed some African and European art.

Who are these people who wait in lines for hours, even days, for concert tickets; to see their favorite celebrity; to purchase sport tickets; buy newly released electronics?  I can’t wrap my mind around waiting that long for anything.  I especially can’t wrap my mind around waiting that long while standing – stop playing!!!

Anyway, the Savage Beauty exhibit is open through August 7, 2011, so that gives me a second opportunity to discover what all the fashion bloggers have buzzed about regarding this exhibit.
