According to travelandleisure.com, the early weeks of December is a good time to find airline and hotel deals. New York is on their list of the Best Places to Travel in December. I’m not sure about that because this is the time of year we get an influx of visitors. Hotel prices tend to skyrocket especially for tourist who visit New York City to see the Christmas tree and ice skate at Rockefeller Center. That area alone gets extremely crowded, making it very hard to get through large crowds of people. I would suggest visiting New York City after New Years. If you are brave enough to deal with our winters (most of our biggest winter storms hit early January and February), you will find lowered hotel rates and less crowds around that time.
Also on their list is Cartagena, Columbia and Edinburgh, Scotland. These places are worlds apart, but both boast beautiful architecture. Miami, Florida also made their list as well as Vienna, Austria. To check out their full list of the Best Places to Travel in December, click here.
