Dominican Republic officials reveal the cause of death in the case of a Maryland couple found dead in their La Romana hotel room. According to reports, autopsy results state that Cynthia Ann Day and Edward Nathaniel Holmes died from respiratory failure and pulmonary edema. The couple was supposed to check-out of their hotel room in the Dominican Republic on May 30, 2019. Hotel staff entered the room the day of check-out and found both bodies unresponsive but no signs of violence, according to a statement from the hotel.
