Lord, I pray for the person reading this who needs to heal their childhood wounds, who is ready to release the pain and hurt they experienced in their most innocent season of life. I ask that you heal the parts of them they have hidden, suppressed, or denied for so long, the places that still bear the marks of their brokenness. Give them the courage to acknowledge those wounds so they can tend to them and receive your restoration.
You may not have received what you needed in your childhood, the love, the attention, the recognition, but what you are walking into is a level of peace your pain was preparing you to hold. A new or renewed love. Healthy relationships where both hearts find safety and peace, nurturing healing instead of reopening old wounds.
I pray that the person reading this receives the lesson from every painful experience. I pray they receive the blessing that follows each lesson and stands in the purpose that is forged from the pain. I pray you become the parent you always needed, both to your children and to yourself.
Lord, touch their wounds with your healing grace. Bring forth renewal in their life and restore the innocence, joy, playfulness, and fearlessness of the person they were before it, while honoring all the wisdom strength, and resilience they have gained through it.
Heal their early heartbreaks and remind them that they are not alone, and that they are held, seen, and loved through every part of their becoming.
Amen.
