I took the elevator up to the 30th floor. The dark passageways made me feel as though I was secretly visiting a forbidden place. The Skylark is one of New York City’s premier rooftop venues. It is beautifully decorated with modern, ultra chic furnishings including tufted, velvet, L shaped sofas; plush area rugs and fashion inspired wall art. The Skylark made me feel like I was seated in the penthouse condominium of a wealthy and well celebrated fashion icon. The venue hosts floor to ceiling windows with breathtaking views of the City. The atmosphere is hip, but luxurious. Their menu is filled with small bites and custom cocktails.
I sipped champagne cocktails with my dear friend Lanier Logan; Founder, Editor & Chief of Young Mogul Life Magazine. We spoke with each other about life and all of its challenges. We made a toast to becoming whole. We chatted over small bites such as the Skylark sliders, guacamole with plantain chips and tortilla chips. We also had macaroni and cheese cupcakes. Each dish is exceptionally delicious. After drinks, we took some time to take in the views of the City that doesn’t sleep as we stood on a heated balcony with the most stunning view of the Empire State Building.
