JOSELITO’S BEACH BAR

Joselito’s Beach Bar is a rinky-dink hole-in-the wall establishment that amazingly provides 5 star service. It’s not the fanciest place on the beach, but it has everything you need to feel at home unless you were raised in a mansion in Beverly Hills. The restaurant is on a beach with the prettiest sand. I often hear people rave about the pink sand in Bermuda, but I was in awe over the sand at Sosua Beach on the island of the Dominican Republic. The sand’s color and texture is very unique to me. I have never seen sand that color before; it’s probably the prettiest sand I’ve ever seen so far.

Who doesn’t love cheap eats? Joselito’s is the perfect place to enjoy seafood on a budget. Our patronage was so appreciated that they poured us complimentary shots of mamajuana; it was a fiesta from there. The food at Joselito’s Beach Bar is delicious. Nothing fancy! No roasted duck drizzled with a reduced pomegranate, white wine glaze; just fresh seafood seasoned and fried. Joselito’s Beach Bar took away all the unnecessary frills, and serves up some good old fashion comfort food. I had an endless platter of lobster tails and shrimp. Not only is the food delicious, but they are generous with their portions.

They treated us like family. When the intense rain storm hit, they tried everything to accommodate us and get us to our car as dry as possible. The restaurant owner gave my daughter a pair of rain boots and a bag to protect her sneakers. Someone even carried an umbrella over my head and walked me all the way to our car. They are extremely hospitable and considerate people. For that reason alone, I highly recommend you visit this cool beach bar in Sosua.
