I visited their West Village location some years ago on a first date with my husband before he was my husband. He was a really cute guy I met at a club in the Bronx and I just couldn’t wait for him to ask me to be his girlfriend. A couple years later, he asked me to be his wife.
I booked a room at the Holiday Inn Hotel for a night and had lunch at Ayza Midtown minutes after check-out the next day. The experience was just as pleasant as the one I had at the Ayza West Village location. The wait-staff is kind and attentive. The food is delicious. It was a little cold out at the time, but I still sat outside and enjoyed a lists of treats from their extensive menu. I had their crispy baby shrimp dumplings with garlic chili sauce and yellow sea wakame salad, Mango Paprika Chocolate by Xocolatti, a strawberry chocolate martini served with a complimentary truffle by Jacques Torres, and Belgian Chocolate Covered Strawberries.
