We checked-in to our two bedrooms, two bathrooms condo in a quiet, gated community in Cabarete. No amazing restaurants within walking distance, no party atmosphere, just a pool, a secluded beach and a bar near the condo’s pool area. Grand Laguna Beach operates as a hotel, but it’s actually a residential condominium. I loved our condo. Each bedroom had its own private bathroom with stand-up showers and gorgeous tiles. The condo we reserved has a living room with ample seating, a 5 piece dining set situated in a fully equipped kitchen that includes all the appliances and utensils needed to cook, serve and store a multi-course meal. The condo’s balcony overlooks the pool area. And there is a small balcony in the master suite that also overlooks the pool area. Each bedroom has a walk-in closet and there is a hallway closet with lots of space and shelving. The beds were perfect for a good night’s rest. In my heart, I wish I could live there forever.
The secluded beach is spectacular. And there is a gorgeous cove on the beach that’s perfect for taking cool photos. The condo’s pool is pretty neat too! It has a nice waterfall and a relaxing Jacuzzi. The condominium is in a removed area of Cabarate so I felt very safe, but it did get boring at times. Thankfully we befriended a driver who graciously took us wherever we wanted to go in the surrounding areas. He showed us where to eat, what beaches to visit, and all the awesome things we should see during our short time on the island. The biggest plus about our stay at Grand Laguna Beach was the room rate. With the Dominican Republic being one of the most affordable tropical destinations to visit, the nightly rate for one of the condos at Grand Laguna Beach is perfect for any budget conscious traveler.
