We stayed at Senses Riviera Maya by Artisan – an exclusive, adults-only, beachfront resort with large, beautifully appointed rooms. Check-in was a breeze and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel at home. The resort is clean. The room’s spacious shower has a rainfall shower head, which I really enjoyed. Next to the shower is a deep-soaking Jacuzzi tub. After a warm shower, I slipped into my comfortable bathroom robe and slippers provided by the hotel during our stay. We sat on the balcony sipping champagne while watching the sunset. The room’s balcony also features a plunge pool perfect for a quick dip before heading out for some late night fun.
The resort’s infinity pool is simply magical. Another beautiful feature at the resort is their rooftop lounge overlooking the sapphire-colored ocean waters. The lounge area features cabanas and bubbling Jacuzzis perfect for unwinding and relaxation under the stars.
Our vacation package included breakfast at the resort’s only restaurant. I loved the Mexican sweet bread with coffee in the morning. Because the resort is so far away from everything, most nights we ate dinner on site. Our meal of choice was quesadillas and wings. The food is mundane so I strongly suggest renting a car and having dinner outside of the resort or bring outside food back to your room after your daily excursions. Taxis are available, but they can be expensive because of the remoteness of the resort.
The resort is situated right on the beach and one of the highpoints of the trip was sitting alone on the beach with my husband after dark watching the waves come in and listening to the relaxing sounds of the ocean. The resort was quiet during our stay. It didn’t seem like there were a lot of guests staying at the property at that time. We felt like we had the place to ourselves. It was a really nice feeling.
I love Senses Riviera Maya resort so much! I would stay there over and over again. It’s romantic and peaceful with all the necessary amenities for a relaxing getaway on the island of Mexico.
