We sailed on a catamaran visiting two beaches on the island of Isla Mujeres, Mexico. During the sail from Cancun to Isla Mujures, the boat stopped so passengers could do some snorkeling. After snorkeling, we landed at Isla Mujeres where we shopped and hung out at the beach. Omar and I splashed in the beautiful, blue water and sipped cocktails under the sun.
Our next stop was a small beach where we enjoyed a Mexican style buffet and open bar which was included in the price of the excursion. For an additional cost, you can sit in an ice bar or swim with turtles. I just took that time to relax and absorb the island breeze under a palm tree.
On our way back to the Cancun port, we sailed while salsa played in the background. The surrounding views were breathtaking. It felt so good to be out on the ocean. The catamaran crew was friendly and fun. They took pride in their ship and offering passengers exceptional service. The excursion included unlimited beer, rum, soft drinks, and water. The drinks were certainly flowing and Omar’s cup runneth over. Before disembarking, we paid for photographs taken by the crew during the excursion. My favorite souvenir is a cute little bottle of Corona with our photo on it.
Isla mujeres is a charming island you should visit. Sailing on a catamaran with Cancun Sailings is a great way to get there.
